Did you know?Tree and Shrub Care in Lawrenceville GA

Pruning limbs on a tree is not only visually pleasing, but it can also stop the spread of disease to the rest of the tree. Make sure to prune any limbs with bark that has been rubbed off, and make sure to dip your pruning shears into a bleach solution to avoid transferring diseases to other trees.

Trees and bushes will need less water as they get older, but new trees and shrubs will need at least an inch of water a week.

When planting a new tree, put a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the tree. This will help maintain the tree's water retention better, causing you to have to water your new tree less.

It's no secret that your trees and shrubs are living in a very hostile world, and taking care of them can be a task that is simply too much to handle for someone who is tied up with a family, a job, and a busy life. We understand that you only have so many hours in the day to deal with your trees and shrubs, and you may not have the time to care for them accordingly.

That's why, at Sesmas Tree & Lawn Care, we can provide you with pruning, fertilizing, insect and disease prevention, risk assessments, emergency services, and tree planting for each and every customer. With the right trees and shrubs accenting your home and lawn, any property can become an exceptionally beautiful landscape.

At Sesmas Tree & Lawn Care, no job is too big or small, too complicated or simple for our staff. For professional advisement and services, call Sesmas Tree & Lawn Care today!

Tree and Shrub Care Schedule

Early Spring Prevention:Our tree and shrub care technicians apply specialized dormant oils to kill insects and eggs that will threaten the health of your plant life.

Late Spring Maintenance:As your plants continue their growth and more insects become active, we stay on top of insect/disease prevention and control and pinpoint any unique health issues your trees or shrubs may be experiencing.

Early Summer Maintenance:As the temperature continues to rise, we target the most common pests that attack Georgia landscapes. This includes mites, beetles, caterpillars, worms, aphids and more.

Late Summer Maintenance:During this time, your trees and shrubs will be inspected and/or treated for fungus growth and disease, and we systematically apply insecticides wherever it is necessary.

Early Fall Maintenance:Sesmas Tree & Lawn Care techs help prepare your shrubs and trees for the approaching cold months. Young trees that are susceptible to low temperatures can be wrapped or have new mulch applied around their base.

Mid Fall Prevention:Any insect eggs that may be hiding are dealt with via our dormant oil application, which doesn't harm your landscape or other beneficial insects that may be present.

Late Fall Development:The roots of your trees and shrubs are critical when it comes to growth and the dispersal of nutrients. We get down into the root zone and apply a controlled fertilizer that will have long term results.

These guys were on point. Verified the request before beginning (always good, because the trees aren't coming back!). Then made sure the trimming was done to exactly where I wanted it. On time, fast, and completely cleaned up after - was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Do You Need Any Help?

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do tree services require insurance?

Yes - and this is crucial! Any company you hire should carry both liability insurance and workers’ compensation. This protects you from liability in case of accidents or property damage. Always ask for proof before work begins.

2. What happens to the branches and debris after a service?
3. How often should trees be professionally inspected?
4. How long does it take for a newly planted tree to establish?
1. How do I know if my tree is unsafe or hazardous?

Be alert for leaning trunks, large cracks in the bark, hollow sections, dead or falling branches, and roots coming out from the ground. If you notice these, then call Sesmas Tree Service for an inspection.

2. How do I tell if my tree is diseased or dying?
1. Can tree roots damage my driveway, foundation, or pipes?

Yes, especially if the tree is planted too close to your building or nearby structures. Roots naturally seek water and stability; this means they'll sometimes invade pipes or lift pavement.

2. Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my property?
3. What safety measures do your crews follow during service?
1. How much does a tree removal typically cost?

Costs vary widely depending on the size, location, health, and accessibility of the tree. Small removals may cost a few hundred dollars while large or complex jobs can get into the thousands. Sesmas is happy to inspect your tree and give you an accurate and detailed estimate UPFRONT.

2. What’s the difference between trimming and pruning?
3. How quickly can you respond to storm damage or emergencies?
4. Can trimming too much kill a tree?
1. What’s the best season to trim or prune trees?

In Georgia, the general rule of thumb is that late winter through early spring is often ideal. However, certain species may need seasonal adjustments. A certified arborist can recommend the right timing for your specific tree.

2. Can large trees near power lines be trimmed safely?
3. How do I choose the right tree for my yard or property?
1. Why should I hire a professional tree service company?

Tree work is dangerous without proper training and equipment. A professional tree company has the knowledge, tools, and insurance to get the work done right - and safely. You’ll save time, reduce risks, and be certain the work is done right.

2. Will tree trimming help my tree grow healthier?
3. Is stump grinding necessary after tree removal?
4. Do you offer maintenance plans for ongoing tree care?
