Most homeowners, and landowners, believe that maintaining their trees and tree stumps is not a big deal, ignoring risks of the exposed area. Sesmas Tree Service only uses a high-tech stump grinder to mechanically remove the entire tree stump. A stump grinder is a heavy machine – that can be the size of a lawn mower or as large as a truck. This should only be operated by a well-trained and experienced team member. Powered by a petrol engine, the machine is typically a steel cutting wheel attached to a hydraulically controlled arm. With extremely sharp steel teeth, the cutting wheel is at the end of the arm. The wheel spins at an extremely high speed, allowing it to cut through and grind the tree stump.

In addition to working the machine itself, we believe in safety first. Our team operators advise safe distance, and use protective equipment against noise and flying debris, as there can be sharp pieces of wood, or even old fence posts, old piping, bricks, glass, nails, or lost tools.

Why Should You Consider Stump Grinding?

Stump grinding is dangerous, not a DIY trick that you can do by yourself, and can potentially damage you own and your neighbor’s property. Sesmas Tree Service will perform efficient and effective stump removal, so you can rest assured that the entire tree stump will be removed. Stump grinding also ensures the elimination of hazards, and guarantees that termites, ants, bees, snakes, and other pests do not have a ready habitat in which to nest. Moreover, opting for stump grinding demands less of an impact on your landscaping, which is not the case for stump removal.

We have the proper tools and equipment as well as well-trained, fast and reliable crewmembers. And guess what? We will clean up after ourselves!

Sesmas did a terrific job for us on a project completed today involving the removal of 18 problem trees. Project was completed exactly as promised, skillfully and for a reasonable price. Mike Fowler was excellent in overseeing the work and his crew was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Kathryn Arvidson

These guys were on point. Verified the request before beginning (always good, because the trees aren't coming back!). Then made sure the trimming was done to exactly where I wanted it. On time, fast, and completely cleaned up after - was a great experience. Highly recommend!

What is the Difference between Stump Grinding and Stump Removal?

You can chose between several options for tree stump removal. Some property-owners decide to let the tree stump decay and decompose naturally; a process that can be long and eventually might not be complete. A tree service can dig the tree stump out of the ground as well! However, this will leave a deep hole that needs to be filled in. Stump grinding on the other hand does not create a hole, and the grindings from the stump can be used as mulch for your landscaping.

Are you looking for tree stump removal and need a tree company to perform this service? The team at Sesmas Tree Service is the company for you! Offering fast and reliable tree services such as tree removal, tree care, and whatever other tree services you may need. Call our office to learn more!
